International Student Services
In the Spiritan tradition, Duquesne University fosters global awareness and understanding as part of a broad, balanced and fully integrated education. The Office of International Programs welcomes students and faculty from throughout the world and encourages Duquesne University’s students and faculty to take advantage of opportunities to study and teach abroad.
NEW STUDENT ARRIVAL ORIENTATION
The International Student Orientation program helps to ease your transition to a new University, and to American culture as a whole. Orientation staff will review key school policies, immigration requirements and such matters as health care and insurance.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADVISOR
The Office of International Programs staffs an international student advisor to help you with any questions concerning immigration, orientation, or any day-to-day questions that arise.
CULTURAL AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
As cultural ambassadors, current Duquesne students volunteer their time to help new international students assimilate into their new surroundings at Duquesne. In addition to helping them in Pittsburgh, current students should also be willing to answer any questions new students may have about Duquesne and about the city of Pittsburgh.
If you are interested in the Cultural Ambassador Program to help new students at Duquesne, please contact Philomena Bolea at: bolea@duq.edu.
